The challenge

A6 Motors, the used car dealership on the A6 in Bedfordshire, opened a new office in Houghton Regis and needed it furnished and working quickly. The furniture was coming from an office in Manchester — desks, task chairs, storage units and meeting-room furniture — around 150 miles north. It had to be collected, brought the length of the country, and then actually set up, rather than dropped as a stack of flat-pack for someone else to deal with.

How it went

Collected in Manchester and delivered to Houghton Regis in a single day, then installed in place: desks positioned, task chairs and storage units assembled, and the meeting area laid out ready to use. One crew handled the collection, the 150-mile run and the setup at the far end, with no third-party handover in between — so A6 Motors got a working office out of one booking rather than a delivery plus a separate fit-out.
