The challenge

The same Stevenage customer, twice. First we moved them out of a one-bed flat and into a second-floor two-bed apartment with a lift, splitting that job over two days so they had space to keep packing rather than racing a single van slot. Weeks later, once they had lived with the new place and worked out what they actually wanted to keep, the surplus needed to come out again — this time into a self-storage unit at Safestore in Stevenage.

How it went

Phase one put everything into the new apartment, carried up via the lift and placed in the rooms the customer chose. Phase two cleared the overflow: loaded at the apartment, driven across town, then trolleyed through the facility corridors and stacked into the unit so the space was used properly rather than filled front-to-back. Two separate bookings, one team who already knew the building, the lift and the access — which is usually why customers call the same firm back for the second half of a move.
