Fridays are the most popular moving day, which makes them the busiest and often the priciest. Midweek — Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday — is usually quieter and easier to book, sometimes at a better rate.

Best months to move

Summer is peak season, driven by school holidays and better weather. Late autumn and winter (excluding Christmas) are quieter, so you'll find more availability and flexibility — just plan for shorter daylight and weather.
